About OIFP MN

Located within a prime 76-acre industrial site and in close proximity to the port of entry into the U.S. for CN rail from the Vancouver to Chicago route via Ranier, Minnesota. The facility is 3 miles east of the Canada/USA port of entry strategically located in the geographic center of CN Rail’s North American network and is also the busiest rail port in North America. The I-53 and 71 highway gives importers and exporters in the region a powerful option for connecting supply and demand.

Using CN rail, and MD&W for short line last mile rail transport services to/from key North America markets. And the magnet connect Duluth port services offers us with access to both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans freight flow control and management. The North-South freight transfer (enhanced Canada and US cross border trucking) corridor market gives cargo owners the ability to manage costs with improved flexibility and minimal inland truck miles. This is uniquely attractive to exporters and importers in the region as it provides a lower-cost control platform from which ocean carriers, ISO empty containers management companies, Intermodal Merchant Carriers (IMCs), and beneficiary cargo owners (BCOs) reposition shipping containers and other cargo carrying equipment in the fastest possible turn time.
